Cordless Drills Are Not Different At All
Making holes in surfaces was once done by hand using a simple sharp instrument that was rotated fast on the surface using a pulley and rope system. This was the traditional image of a drill but with the advent of motors and electricity, drills became electric by nature and started to rely on large motors and electricity to drive drill bits through any type of surface. Soon they progressed to the hammer and SDS type powerful drills that could blast large holes in concrete and even steel in just a few seconds.
The latest type of drills are cordless drills that do not differ much from normal drills. The only difference between these drills and the traditional designs is that they are operated on battery power rather than direct electricity. One would imagine that this would decrease their power output but that is not the fact because modern variants are quite powerful when it comes to drilling big holes in walls and metal sheets.
